I love easy dips, sometimes I make some just for myself and eat it for lunch all week. If I haven’t mentioned before, I am a big snacker. Don’t judge.
Is Spinach Dip better Hot or Cold?
The best part about this Spinach Dip Recipe is it is great hot or cold. I love a good hot dip, but sometimes they don’t set out as well. If I serve a hot dip, I prefer to eat it right away, or serve it in a crock pot.
I prefer a cold dip if it is going to set out for a while. A cold dip usually still tastes great, even at room temperature. So whatever way you like your dip, serve it up. Hot or Cold.
What is this Spinach Dip Recipe made of?
For this recipe you only need a few main ingredients; Spinach, Sour Cream, Mayonnaise and Knorr Vegetable Mix. You can also add in water chestnuts for some more texture, but I haven’t quite decided if I love them.

Easy Spinach Dip
Best Easy Spinach Dip
- 16 oz Sour Cream
- 3/4 cup Mayo
- 10 oz Frozen Spinach
- 1 packet Knorr Vegetable Mix
- 4 oz Water Chestnuts (optional)
Set out Spinach to defrost. Once thawed use a strainer and squeeze as much liquid as possible out of the Spinach.
Add Spinach to serving dish with all remaining ingredients. If you use water chestnuts, make sure to drain off the liquid and give them a rough chop.
Mix all ingredients until well incorporated, and put in the refrigerator to chill for at least an hour.
Serve chilled with your favorite, chips, crackers, bread, or veggies.
