What’s on Caramel Apple Fruit Pizza?
Fruit Pizza has always been a favorite in my family. I used to request it every year for my birthday. Of course, my strawberry fruit pizza is always a hit, but the caramel apple is my absolute favorite.
Caramel Apple Fruit Pizza mixes all your favorite classic caramel apple flavors. You can add your favorite apples, and drizzle with your favorite caramel sauce, then top with nuts, if you prefer. There are just a few things that make my fruit pizza stand out from the rest. A secret one may say. 😉
Secret Ingredients
My first “secret” ingredient is in the topping. I have a “go to” topping base that I literally use in most all of my dessert recipes, but to spice this recipe up I like to add peanut butter. Yes, peanut butter. Nothing goes with caramel apples like peanut butter.
The second “secret” weapon I used in this recipe is my Homemade Caramel Sauce made with Werther’s Original Hard Candies. It is simply delicious, and so easy to make. I highly recommend giving it a go.
But if you are on a time crunch you can also use the jar caramel sauce. We are all about a shortcut at The Four Acre Farm. Dessert Pizza is one of those recipes that is so easy to make your own. You can mix and match toppings, and tailor the flavors for your taste buds. So, get creative and make it your own.
