Classic Cheese Ball Recipe
Growing up, Classic Cheese Ball Recipe was a staple at every big dinner or get-together. You know the one…beef, cream cheese, green onion…yum. Even the pickiest eaters always gathered around it. I don’t know if it is because they are so delicious, or because it was always the first thing ready to eat.
I have been making cheese balls literally since I was a kid. We had Sunday dinners after church, and one of the main kitchen jobs, for the kids, was to make the cheese ball. Probably because it can get a little messy, and the adults wanted to keep their hands clean. Or maybe because it was one of the only things I was qualified to do.
Cheese Balls are the perfect appetizer because they are so easy to whip up, and they can sit out at room temperature. I love cheese ball, sometimes I make one just for myself and eat it for lunch all week. If I haven’t mentioned before, I am a big snacker. Don’t judge.
For a Classic Cheese Ball Recipe you only need a few main ingredients; Cream Cheese, Beef, Green Onion, and Salt to taste. Now, I personally think pecans are necessary for a good cheeseball because I love the crunch. But you could always leave off the pecans, or substitute them for bacon bits. Bacon is always a solid option. : )
