Chocolate Covered Strawberries Recipe
Chocolate Covered Strawberries are so delicious and super east to make at home. If you love chocolate covered strawberries, but hate how expensive they are, you have come to the right place. Keep reading below to find out how I make my Easy Chocolate Covered Strawberries Recipe.
How do you get the Chocolate to stick to Strawberries?
The most important part of making chocolate strawberries is getting the chocolate to stick. I know this sounds simple, but trust me, sometimes it is not as easy as one would think. But never fear, I have an easy tip for making sure your chocolate sticks every time.
First you want to make sure to wash your strawberries. This can be the part that makes the sticking difficult. If your strawberries still have water left on them, when you go to dip them, the water can keep the chocolate from sticking.
After you wash your strawberries, put them on a paper towel to dry. Then before you dip each one, make sure to wipe off any excess water with a paper towel. This will help make sure your chocolate sticks.
Do you put Chocolate Covered Strawberries in the fridge or freezer?
I like to put my chocolate strawberries in the freezer to harden. Why, you ask? Well, because I am impatient. If you place your strawberries in the freezer, make sure you do not leave them too long as they will be too hard to eat.
You can also pop them in the refrigerator, if you are more patient than me, then serve them once they are firm. You can also use a chocolate that hardens easily, and just let them harden on the counter. It is really all up to how much of a hurry you are in.
Should strawberries be cold before dipping?
The best strawberries for dipping are actually room temperature strawberries. Some think strawberries should be cold before dipping, but this is actually not the case. The closer to room temperature, the better your strawberries will dip, and set up.
How long can you keep Chocolate Strawberries?
Chocolate strawberries are one of those things that taste better when they are fresh. I try to make mine an hour or less before serving for best results. You can make them ahead of time, and keep them in the fridge, but the longer they sit the less fresh they will be. For the best tasting chocolate strawberries, I like to eat within 24 hours.
