The best vegetables to go on pizza are really based on your personal taste. The best part of pizza is that you can really tailor it to be whatever flavors you love. I try to add in as many fresh veggies as I can get out of my garden.
For this fresh veggie pizza I love to add different textures and crunch, and bell pepper, carrots, and broccoli really give a good variety of flavors and crunch.
What crust is best for Veggie Pizza?
There are so many crust options for veggie pizza. You can use canned biscuits, premade pizza crust, or even tortillas, for a thin crust option.
My favorite crust to use for this recipe is crescent rolls. There is just something about the flavor that goes so well with the cream cheese and vegetables. Yum.
Veggie Pizza Secret Ingredient
I have a secret ingredient that I love to add to my veggie pizzas, which may be semi controversial. The controversial part is that it is not a veggie, but I’m telling you, it makes so much sense.
Drumroll please… I love to add deli meat to my veggie pizzas. Shocker, I know, but I feel like chopped ham goes so well with the veggies.
Adding a meat also bulks up this veggies pizza and makes it a great fresh dinner for my family. Deli chicken or turkey meat would also go so well on this pizza.

Fresh Veggie Pizza
Easy Fresh Veggie Pizza made with Crescent Roll crust
- 1 can Crescent Rolls
- 1 block Cream Cheese
- 1/4 cup Sour Cream
- 1/2 packet Ranch Dressing Mix
- 1/2 cup Shredded Carrots
- 1/2 cup Fresh Broccoli
- 1/4 cup Bell Pepper
Preheat Oven to 350 degrees
On a cookie sheet, lay out crescent roll dough, and press together all the seams to create your pizza crust.
Cook dough until golden brown, and sit out to cool.
Mix room temperature cream cheese, sour cream, and ranch dressing mix.
Spread cream cheese mixture on to cooled crust.
Chop all veggies to your desired size, and layer over pizza.
Keep in refrigerator until time to serve. Best served cold.
