Iced Tea Latte
An Iced Tea Latte is the perfect refreshing drink for the Spring and Summer. This yummy beverage has just the right amount of sweetness , and a splash of oat milk to give it a smooth creaminess. The combination of tea and milk is something so delicious. It is definitely a must try.
Don’t get me wrong, I love a good iced coffee, but sometimes coffee is a little harsh for me. I am always looking for the perfect way to gat my caffeine fix, without that coffee after taste. I know a ton of people add milk to their tea, which I never understood. But I decided to try some iced tea with a splash of oat milk, and I fell in love.
I have been buying oat milk because it has such a long shelf life. Milk is my number one grocery staple. If I run out of milk I may as well have a bare fridge. I also love to add oat milk as a substitute for coffee creamer. However, I think it suits tea even better than coffee.
Simmer Down it’s Recipe Time
To make your tea, fill a 2 quart sauce pan 3/4 of the way with water, and add in 5 tea bags. My favorite tea is Lipton, but you can use whatever tea you have. Bring your water to a boil on medium heat, then turn off the burner and let sit for 10-15 minutes.
Remove the tea bags, and pour the liquid into a 2-quart pitcher. Stir in 3/4-1 cup sugar, and fill the pitcher the rest of the way with water. Let chill completely before pouring over ice, and topping with a splash of oat milk. So good, and you will have enough to last you all week. Way cheaper than Starbucks, and no waiting in line : )
