Lemon Pepper Tuna Salad
This Lemon Pepper Tuna Salad is a fresh twist on a classic tuna salad. Made with pickles, mayo, and boiled eggs, this easy recipe has all your favorite ingredients, plus a twist with a splash of lemon and a dash of lemon pepper seasoning.
It is one of those dishes that is really good any time of the year, but something about the lemon makes it extra special when the weather starts to warm up. The best part about tuna is it tastes so good served on bread, toast, and even crackers. I love to have it on hand for lunch or a quick snack. Keep reading below to find out how I make my Lemon Pepper Tuna Salad.
How do you make Tuna Salad taste good?
The best part of Tuna Salad is there are so many options and ways to make the recipe even better. You can always prep your own tuna, but using canned tuna is so easy, and tastes absolutely wonderful. The key to tuna is keeping it simple and classic. With tuna less is more, so use classic ingredients, and don’t try to reinvent the wheel.
What makes Lemon Pepper Tuna Salad “Classic”
In my opinion, the “Classic” part is all about using those age-old ingredients. I love making tuna salad like my grandma used to make. Don’t get me wrong, I like to spice it up, but I like to start with a classic tuna salad base.
For my Tuna Salad, I add, onion, dill pickles or relish, mayo, and you can’t forget the eggs. I also like to add a little mustard, but I know that is a controversial item. If you like mustard, I highly recommend you give it a shot. The best part of is, if you don’t like something, just don’t add it.
Best Ways to Eat Lemon Pepper Tuna Salad
There are so many ways to eat tuna salad. Some of my favorites are on crackers, or a good piece of wheat toast. You can also top a fresh salad mix or greens with a spoonful, or just eat it in a bowl by itself. It really is so versatile. This is why I love to make a big batch and repurpose it in so many different ways.
What the Hack
I am about to spill the beans on how I make this recipe even easier. The best way I have found to make tuna is to use a food processer. You can add in all your ingredients and saves you the mess of using a cutting board. It also saves so much time on prepping all the ingredients. This food processor hack is a real game changer.
I have a small food processor that also comes with several other attachments. I use this thing all the time. From making cheese balls to tacos, it does all the hard work for me. The best part is you can pop the whole food processor in the fridge and you don’t even have to dirty up a bowl.
