Oven Baked BBQ Chicken

This Oven Baked BBQ Chicken has all the flavor, and gooey sauce, without the hassle of a grill. Of course, this recipe would taste amazing on the grill too. Check out my easy 5 ingredient BBQ Chicken recipe below. And make sure you follow my tip for easy clean up, you won’t regret it.

BBQ Queen

Now, I am the queen of BBQ. I even had it at my wedding. Classy…I know, but I think that makes me extra qualified. My husband and I love to use boneless skinless chicken thighs. They are so tender, and juicy. If you have not tried them, trust me, they are a game changer. I am picky when it comes to chicken, and I choose them over breast meat. Like I said, we use chicken thighs, but you can use your favorite cut of chicken

Oven Baked BBQ Chicken Ingredients

The five ingredients you will need are granulated garlic, Worcestershire sauce, Kraft Original BBQ Sauce, Salt, and Pepper. Easy enough, right? Tip*** I am going to recommend you cook your chicken on a baking sheet covered with foil. This will save a ton of time when it comes time to clean up.

Let’s Get Cookin’

Now, cover both sides of your chicken with all the ingredients, minus the BBQ sauce. Cooking for 20 minutes at 375 degrees. Then pull it out of the oven, and add BBQ sauce to the top. After 10-15 more minutes in the oven, flip your chicken, add sauce to the other side, and pop back in the over for 10-15 more minutes. For a total cooking time of 40-50 minutes.

Game Changing Step for Oven Baked BBQ Chicken

Your chicken should be done now, but I have another final step. You could skip this step, but I highly recommend you don’t. My favorite part of BBQ chicken is when the edges get a little extra brown, and the sauce gets gooey. If you are with me, then pop your oven broiler on low, and stick your chicken in for another 5 minutes, or so. Just be sure to keep an eye on your chicken because we want brown, not black edges.

I hope this Oven Baked BBQ Chicken gives you back yard BBQ vibes right in your kitchen. Now all that’s left to do is clean up. So crumple up that foil, and throw it in the trash. See I told you it was easy. : )
