Cold Weather, Cold Beverage
There is something about fall and winter that makes me crave cold drinks and ice-creams. Am I the only one who must torture themselves with a cold beverage while my hands are literally freezing off? Don’t get me wrong, I love a good hot drink when the weather gets cooler, but don’t sleep on a good fall Smoothie.
Sneaky Smoothies
Smoothies are one of my go-to easy breakfasts or snacks, especially when I am in a rush. Plus, smoothies are also such an easy way to sneak some healthy foods into your kids’ diets. I love to add fruit, and even veggies in my Smoothies. My favorite Smoothie ingredient hands down is also my secret key to getting the best texture. There is nothing worse than a runny Smoothie.
Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie Secret Ingredient
Ok, since I’ve teased you long enough, I will tell you my secret ingredient. Drumroll….it’s BANANA. I know this is no huge revelation but let me tell you what you have to do. The key to a good Smoothie is FROZEN Bananas. You can’t just toss in a regular banana. They need to be frozen. This will give your Smoothies an almost milkshake-like texture. Yum.
