The length of time really depends on the amount of smoke flavor you want. I recommend smoking your cream cheese for 45 minutes to 2 hours. Like I said, this recipe is just as good in the oven, so you mainly want to make sure your cream cheese is good and melted.

The best part of Smoked Cream Cheese is it is so simple to make. You really only need 2 ingredients, a block of cream cheese and BBQ rub. You can make your own mix of BBQ rub, or use your favorite store bought rub. My family uses a local BBQ rub called Strawberry’s. It is a staple here in Southeast Missouri. We will put it on literally any and everything.

And last but not least, the main reason you came to this post. How to make Smoked Cream Cheese. This is literally the easiest Appetizer, and is likely items you keep on hand. I love to be able to pull out a fancy appetizer in no time to blow the socks off my guests.

All you have to do it take a block of cream cheese, and leave it in the foil. Just pull back the foil so it is flat, and score the cheese down the middle. Then sprinkle your BBQ Rub on top, and slap it on the grill. That’s it! The best part is, you make it right in the foil so no clean up.

Easy Smoked Cream Cheese Dip

  • 1 block Cream Cheese
  • 2 tsp Strawberry's BBQ Seasoning or Your Favorite BBQ Rub
  • Ritz Crackers
  1. Open cream cheese. Leave cheese in foil packet and use foil to cook and serve for easy clean up.

  2. Score cream cheese down the center. Sprinkle seasoning over top of Cream Cheese. You can use any of your favorite seasonings or BBQ rubs.

  3. Smoke in Grill off open flame for 45 minutes to 2 hours depending on how smokey you would like the flavor. You can also cook this in the oven.

  4. Serve hot on your favorite crackers or chips and Enjoy!
