Snow Cream

This Easy Snow Cream Recipe is about the only thing that gets me excited for snow. This is the perfect treat to make when you are ready to cuddle up in a blanket, and watch the snow fall.

Snow Cream

I am located in Missouri, so I don’t get snow extremely often. If I lived somewhere that gets a lot of snow I would pick this over store bought ice cream. Seriously, it’s that good, and soo easy.

What will you need?

First and foremost, you will need SNOW, but you may have already guessed that. When I was a kid I loved snow cream so much I would use my snow cone machine to make snow cream. So technically I guess you don’t have to have snow.

Snow

You will also need some vanilla flavoring and 3 different kids of milk, sweetened condensed, evaporated, and 2%. I know this sounds excessive, but trust me, this is what makes it so good.

Why 3 kinds of milk?

The sweetened condensed makes the snow bind together, and also adds the sweetness. This is the most important of the three. The evaporated milk gives the snow a rich flavor, and the 2% milk tones down some of the sweetness.

Sweetened Milk

You can swap out the evaporated milk and 2% for what ever you prefer, just make sure you have a creamy liquid to thin out your snow. But in my opinion, mixing the 3 gives the BEST flavor, and texture.

Mix up your Snow Cream!

Literally, it’s time to mix up the snow, vanilla, and milks, and you are ready to eat. But you can also mix up your flavors. Add your favorite toppings, like sprinkles or chocolate syrup, to make your snow cream extra special. Just pop the leftovers in an air tight container, and put it in the freezer for later.
