The Thrifting Meaning
The Thrifting Meaning is something that everyone seems to be talking about. Second hand shopping is something that has become so popular. But so many people still really don’t know what it is, or actually how to do it.
Thrifting Meaning has a Reputation
For some reason thrifted shopping has the reputation of being gross or not clean. Trust me, I get it. I was not always into thrift shopping, and when I was younger, I was one of those people who thought it was not for me.
When I was younger I can remember being so grossed out by thrift store shopping. In my 20’s, I started thrifting, and man I tell you it changed my life…seriously.
You can get some if the nicest items thrifting. The items below all came from the Thrift Store, and they made my Master Bedroom Makeover look so expensive.
Does Thrifting Mean Cheap Items?
I have always been cheap, and when I say cheap, I mean I have always picked quantity over quality. When I was in high school I never followed the expensive fashion trends like all of my friends.
Why buy a pair of pants for $80.00 when I could buy two, or three, outfits for the same price? Now that I shop at thrift stores I could probably buy 5 outfits for $80.00.
I’m telling you, once you find your first awesome deal you will fall in love with thrifting, just like me. But just because the items have a cheap price tag does not make them cheap quality. I have found some of the best brands at the thrift store.
Thrifting at the Right Place
I feel like so many people don’t think they like second hand shopping, but have they actually given it a fair shot? It is not just rummaging through dirty used items. You can find so many good, clean thrift stores if you just look.
If there is something about shopping used items that you think of as dirty or not as appealing maybe you just haven’t found the right place to shop.
Thrifting Meaning
Thrifting is not so much about the act of shopping, but more the hunt. It is thrilling to find a brand-new high-priced item at way less than half of the retail price. The perk is that you don’t know what you might find.
So, you may need to reframe how you look at thrifting. Think of it as more of a hobby. Second hand shopping is a way to think outside the box and get creative with the items you find. Have fun with it.
